Root Down, Rise Up: Finding Your Feet for Standing Poses
Wednesday, May 7th 2025 6-7pm In-Studio and Online
Finding a steady base is often tricky when working to increase balance. Join Becky to learn how to strengthen feet, ankles, and legs to discover proper alignment to help your balance on and off the mat.
Class will utilize standing, seating, and laying down postures. Chairs can be used in place of floor postures as support in balance work.
All levels welcome!

Love your Lymph
Saturday, May 10th 2025 1-3pm In-Studio
What’s the most powerful system in your body that you never hear about? The lymphatic system. Ever wonder why chronic pain doesn’t get better despite all your therapy and medications? Your lymphatic system may be the problem. If the body can’t rid of cellular waste during the healing process, the inflammation simply stays in the tissues causing pain. If it can’t get out of the body, you can’t get better.
In this workshop you will learn a specific self treatment sequence that will help you move stagnant lymph and help you begin to feel better, no matter what your ailment. We will follow up with a yoga based movement practice that will then help to move the lymph in our bodies and help us rediscover our innate vitality.
All levels welcome! Please dress in comfortable layers. Mats and props available.

The teachers and all participants in the Kula community are amazingly supportive! Anyone can enjoy this yoga experience at their own level of ability–which can change as ‘things happen’. I love “the Kula Effect” on my life!

I travel to Illinois on an annual basis and used to make my way out to Madison to practice at Tantra Wellness and Yoga. Fortunately, Amy, who used to own Tantra is still offering classes at Kula. I attended a Sunday morning practice with her. The studio is well appointed with more than the tools for yoga asana. It also has silks suspended from the ceiling and tech for hybrid sessions.
As always, Amy taught an incredible practice that gave me the opportunity to explore my personal needs and experience postures in new ways. Beyond the physical, she offered mindful focus (dharma) and invited the teachers she is currently training to provide teaching in pranayama. It was so nice to experience a full practice.

Knowledge, ability to educate as Becky teaches. Good for our athletes to think about their mind & body connection. Our second trip with our girl’s soccer program. We have really enjoyed both visits and have always left learning something new.

I’ve been impressed with your business model and how the core values are truly in practice. I was also very surprised by all the small things you remember about each person, including myself. It was very different/uncomfortable at first, but after a few classes, it became obvious that you invest and engage everyone that way. I’ve become very great full you set a standard for an inclusive environment at the start of every class in a very non-invasive and subtle way. You have a knack for recognizing the people who like to share from those who don’t and have the rare ability to acknowledge everyone in those before class conversations.
